On a petition to the emperors to issue a law prohibiting the forced participation in theatrical service of persons who, having converted to Christianity, have been baptized and wish to keep themselves clean from such wickedness.
It should also be asked that if anyone wants to move from any theatrical art to the grace of Christianity and remain free from the former defilement, no one will be allowed to again persuade or force him to the same activities.

Περὶ τῶν τοιούτων ἔτι μὴν αἰτῆσαι δεῖ, ἵνα, ἐάν τις ἐξ οἱουδήποτε παιγνιώδους ἐπιτηδεύματος πρὸς τὴν τοῦ Χριστιανισμοῦ χάριν ἐλθεῖν θελήσοι, καὶ ἐλεύθερος ἀπ᾽ ἐκείνων τῶν σπιλάδων διαμεῖναι, μὴ ἐξὸν εἴη τινί, τὸν τοιοῦτον πρὸς τὰ αὐτὰ γυμνάσματα πάλιν προτρέπεσθαι, ἢ καταναγκάζειν.[1]
