Canon 17
About anathema to women who cut off their hair for the sake of imaginary asceticism.
If a woman, for the sake of imaginary asceticism, cuts her hair, which God gave her as a reminder of subordination, then she, as violating the command to submit, will be anathema.

Εἴ τις γυναικῶν διὰ νομιζομένην ἄσκησιν ἀποκείροιτο τὰς κόμας, ἃς ἔδωκεν ὁ Θεὸς εἰς ὑπόμνησιν τῆς ὑποταγῆς, ὡς παραλύουσα τὸ πρόσταγμα τῆς ὑποταγῆς, ἀνάθεμα ἔστω.
