Правило 3

If some fled from persecutors and were captured or betrayed by their household, or otherwise found themselves deprived of property, or suffered torture, or were thrown into prison and at the same time shouted that they were Christians and were tormented, or they involuntarily took what the tormentors forcibly put into their hands, or took some food, but constantly confessed that they were Christians, and always show grief for what happened with all modesty, clothing and a humble life - such, since they are without sin, should not be forbidden to communicate. Even if they were prohibited for the sake of greater akrivia or out of ignorance, one must immediately accept them into communication. This applies equally to clergy and all other lay people. Moreover, it was also considered whether lay people who were subjected to the same violence could be raised to a degree. So, it was decided to produce others like them who have not sinned in anything, if their previous way of life turns out to be right.
