On leniency in penance for those who conceived adulterously and had an abortion, from life to 10 years.
About women committing fornication and conceiving children and making potions to kill fetuses. The previous ruling forbade them to partake of the Holy Mysteries until death, and they agree with this. We, having found something more humane, determined a 10-year period of repentance according to the established degrees.

Περὶ τῶν γυναικῶν τῶν ἐκπορνευουσῶν καὶ ἀναιρουσῶν τὰ γεννώμενα, καὶ σπουδαζουσῶν φθόρια ποιεῖν, ὁ μὲν πρότερος ὅρος μέχρις ἐξόδου ἐκώλυσε, καὶ τούτῳ συντίθενται. Φιλανθρωπότερον δέ τι εὑρόντες, ὡρίσαμεν δεκαετῆ χρόνον, κατὰ τοὺς βαθμοὺς τοὺς ὡρισμένους πληρῶσαι.
