About the elders who made a sacrifice, but then resumed the feat for the faith, and not in some deceptive way, but truly, without preliminary preparations and begging in order to show that they were being tortured, while they experienced torture only feignedly and in appearance. It was decided that such should share the honor of the presbytery seat, but they were not allowed to make the Offering, or preach, or generally perform any priestly services.

Πρεσβυτέρους τοὺς ἐπιθύσαντας, εἶτα ἀναπαλαίσαντας, μήτε ἐκ μεθόδου τινός, ἀλλ᾽ ἐξ ἀληθείας, μήτε προκατασκευάσαντας, καὶ ἐπιτηδεύσαντας, καὶ πείσαντας, ἵνα δόξωσι μὲν βασάνοις ὑποβάλλεσθαι, ταύτας δὲ τῷ δοκεῖν καὶ τῷ σχήματι προσαχθῆναι· τούτους ἔδοξε, τῆς μὲν τιμῆς τῆς κατὰ τὴν καθέδραν μετέχειν· προσφέρειν δὲ αὐτούς, ἢ ὁμιλεῖν, ἢ ὅλως λειτουργεῖν τι τῶν ἱερατικῶν λειτουργιῶν, μὴ ἐξεῖναι.
