The second session of the diocesan family gathering has endedtranslated

On August 16, 2026, the second shift of the diocesan family gathering ended at the courtyard of the St. Nicholas Monastery in Teryukha. For several days, families of clergy and students of Sunday schools of the Gomel diocese participated together in divine services, labor obediences, sports and creative events.

The program of the rally included daily prayer and conversations with the spiritual director of the rally, Priest Alexander Asadchim. One of the meetings with the participants was conducted by the resident of the St. Nicholas Monastery in Gomel, monk Mitrofan (Dzhalalov). He spoke about the history of the monastery, the first inhabitants of the monastery, the monastic path and the significance of the rosary in prayer life.

Labor obediences, master classes and sporting events occupied a significant place in the program. Outdoor games “Lapta”, “Baker” and team relay races were conducted by Valery Mikhailovich Alekseev, football coach of the Sunday school of the parish of the Church of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Bobruisk.

Children and adults were able to present their creative abilities during the amateur concert “Star Scattering”. The participants prepared performances that they shared with other families of the gathering.
