Faith, Dialogue, and Tradition: The First Edition of Orthodox Youth Day in Toronto

June 6 of this year marked the date of the first gathering of Orthodox youth from Toronto and the surrounding area—a long-awaited event, the realization of a desire expressed many times in recent years by both the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and Canada, and the Romanian Orthodox clergy in the aforementioned area.
Titled “Youth Day at the Cathedral,” the event organized with the Blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, and hosted by St. George Romanian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto, began, as is befitting, with the Divine Liturgy, followed by a festive meal in the “Dacia” cultural hall of this place of worship (at the end of which the participants—young people between the ages of 16 and 30—had the opportunity to get to know one another better through specially-created icebreaker games) and a dialogue with those present, led by His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland and Auxiliary-Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America and Canada.
