Pupils of Sunday schools of the Ekaterinburg diocese took part in a prayer service at the beginning of the school yeartranslated

On Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the monastery in the name of the Royal Passion-Bearers on Ganina Yama, a prayer service was held for the beginning of the new school year, in which pupils of parochial schools of the Yekaterinburg diocese took part.

The prayer service was attended by priests, teachers, Sunday school students and their parents from Yekaterinburg, Pervouralsk, Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sredneuralsk, Aramil, Berezovsky, Irbit, the villages of Staropyshminsk, Bolshoy Istok, Baltym, Shabrovsky and the village of Kungurka - about 1000 people in total.

This year, representatives of Sunday schools met in the square near the church in the name of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers of the Royal Monastery. The prayer service was performed by the chairman of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Yekaterinburg Diocese, Priest Vasily Ravlik, co-served by the rectors and confessors of the Sunday schools of the Yekaterinburg Diocese.

Liturgical chants were performed by a combined choir from the Sunday schools of the Ascension Bishops' Cathedral, churches in the name of St. Luke of Crimea and All Saints under the leadership of the regent of the church in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos of Yekaterinburg, Maria Zhilenkova.
