A final tribute to Father Nicu Moldoveanu: The funeral scheduletranslated

The "St. Elefterie" Parish - Nou in the Capital has announced the funeral program of priest Professor Nicu Moldoveanu.

The coffin with the lifeless body of the father was deposited on Tuesday at the "St. Catherine" Church - university chapel of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Bucharest. At 17:00, the service of the Pillars will be celebrated.

On Wednesday, until lunchtime, the coffin will be moved to the "St. Elefterie" Church - New. Also, from 18:00, the service of the Pillars will be performed.

After the Holy Liturgy on Thursday, the funeral service will take place. Father Nicu Moldoveanu will be buried at the Cernica 2 cemetery.

Byzantine composer, conductor and musicologist Father Nicu Moldoveanu was born on October 20, 1940 in Brătianu commune, today Scânteia, in Ialomița county, in a family with 11 children. From childhood he learned the alphabet of faith and from an early age he discovered a passion for singing in the pews, which he never parted with.

Disciple and successor at the chair of Professor Nicolae Lungu, he became a lecturer, associate professor and professor at the church music department of the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Bucharest.
