The Most Reverend Father Teofil Trotușanul, the Vicar Bishop of the Archdiocese of Roman and Bacău, officiated on Saturday the memorial service for Father Marius Gabriel Bărăscu in Parava Parish, Bacău County, emphasizing that "those who have gone beyond continue to live in our hearts".
The service was attended by family members, colleagues, clergy from the Roman and Bacău Archdiocese.
His Eminence spoke about the commemoration of the sleeping and the communion between the living and those moved to the Lord, starting from the episode of the Transfiguration of the Savior, when Christ talked with Moses and Saint Elijah on Mount Tabor.
"And we, today, as in the past on Tabor, have come to talk with the Lord Jesus Christ, we the living, having the confidence that beyond, those who have gone to the world of eternity, are also worthy of the sight of God's glory."
