His Holiness Father Siluan installed a new dean in the Diocese of Italy on Tuesday, on the feast of Saint Joseph the New from Partoș.
The service took place on the occasion of the patron saint of the Rieti Parish, dedicated to the holy hierarch, where Father Constantin Holban received the new rank.
The celebration of the Romanian community began with Matins, followed by the Holy Liturgy, attended by clergy and believers from the city and neighboring towns.
His Holiness Father Siluan showed the life of Saint Hierarch Joseph the New from Partoș as a model of holiness, humility and service in the image of Christ.
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, the Bishop of Italy ordained Father Constantin Holban protopope of Lazio 2. The hierarch congratulated the parish priest of the community of Rieti for assuming the new responsibility and urged him to continue serving with zeal, sacrificial love and obedience to the Church.
On this occasion, the clergy from the Lazio region participated in a new meeting, during which themes were addressed regarding the pastoral, administrative and missionary activity of the Romanian communities in this part of Italy.
