Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus prayed during the Divine Liturgy in the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in the city of Bresttranslated

On September 18, 2026, the cleric of the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” in the city of Brest, Priest Mikhail Derkach, celebrated the Divine Liturgy, which was attended by the deputy head of the Brest regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ruslan Nikolaevich Lyubechko, the deputy head of the Brest regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Nikolaevich Kornelyuk, and the head of the Brest city Ministry of Emergency Situations, Komarchuk. Dmitry Viktorovich, employees of agencies and departments, as well as the education of the military-patriotic club “Zubr”.

During the service, priest Mikhail prayed for the health and salvation of all employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, both those present at the Divine Liturgy and those who were serving at duty posts at that time.

At the end of the service, Father Mikhail congratulated all those present on the feast of memory of the Holy Reverend Martyr Athanasius of Brest, as well as on the feast of the memory of the Burning Bush Icon of the Mother of God, which is the heavenly patroness of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. In his speech, the priest thanked the rescuers for their hard work in saving people and property from the elements and wished everyone good health, mental and physical strength for further work.
