"The Lord Jesus Christ wants to teach us that only the good and generous or merciful man constantly manifests himself as being created in the image of God the Good and Merciful," said the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel on Sunday in the historical Chapel "St. M. Mc. Gheorghe" of the Patriarchal Residence.

His Beatitude drew attention to the fact that, although the love of enemies is commanded by God, some people ask: "How can we love our enemies if very often we forget even those who have done us much good?".

"We often forget our parents who gave birth to us and raised us, the teachers, priests and professors who trained us, the leaders who promoted us to a higher rank, we quickly forget those who helped us in times of poverty, sickness, trouble. Instead, we remember for a long time the harm that someone did to us, the word that offended or hurt us, the deed passionate and that enemy who humiliated us or harmed us".
