The Archbishop of Australia welcomed a group of University Professors from Greecetranslated

On Thursday, September 10, the Most Reverend Archbishop of Australia Mr. Makarios received a delegation of Professors and educators participating in the 12th International Summer University "Greek Language, Culture and Media - The Greek Language in Australia: From Memory to the Future", which takes place in Sydney, from September 6 to 11, 2026. The delegation was headed by the organizers of the International Summer University: the Dean of the Faculty of Education of the University of Ioannina, Mrs. Nicoletta Tsitsanoudi-Mallidis, founder and scientific manager of the program, and the head of the Greek Studies Program of the University of New South Wales, Dr. Vasilios Adrachtas.

Upon arrival, the delegation received a warm welcome from His Eminence Bishop Kerasuntos Mr. Christophoros, Primate of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, at the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation in Redfern.
