The hospitalization of former Metropolitan Florinis Theoklitou has endedtranslated

On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the hospitalization of the former Metropolitan of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia Mr. Theoklitou at the General Hospital of Florina, where he had been admitted on September 1, ended. As stated in the announcement of the Holy Metropolis of Florina, Prespa and Eordaia, the Elder Metropolitan and Metropolitan Mr. Irenaios express "their warm thanks" to the Administration, doctors and nursing staff of the Hospital for "the care, interest and respect" they showed throughout the hospitalization. At the same time, according to the same announcement, the important work of the Hospital is recognised, with a key feature "the care and ministry to the sick person".

The announcement also notes that, following the prompting of the attending physicians, visits to the Missionary Brotherhood of Agia Macrina should be avoided for the first time, in order to ensure the necessary conditions for the Elder Metropolitan's recovery.

Glad the Metropolitan is out of the hospital after that week-long stay. Smart move asking people to hold off on visits to the Sisterhood for a while so he can actually rest and recover. The staff at the Florina General Hospital sounds like they really took good care of him.

I'm glad that he was discharged on Tuesday, after a whole week at the hospital in Florina. It's good that the doctors said not to come to St. Macrina's Shelter for the time being, to rest peacefully. The staff there seems to have been really attentive, as the Metropolitans thank.
