France: Joseph Fauré's "Apocalypse" was stolen from a museumtranslated

The book "Apocalypse" by Joseph Fauré, one of the most expensive books in the world, weighing 150 kilograms and whose cover was designed by Salvador Dali, was stolen on the night of October 4-5 from the Center of Contemporary Art in Isouard, Auvergne, BFMTV reports, citing the Clermont-Ferrand Public Prosecutor's Office. Described as a "work of art of great value" and an "exceptional piece", the cover of this unique copy of the "Book of Revelation" was designed by Salvador Dali. Made of bronze and decorated with gold, precious stones and shells, it weighs 150 kg.
The work, inspired by the text of John the Evangelist, which weighs a total of 210 kilograms, was created by Joseph Fauré between 1958 and 1961. It is illustrated on giant parchments by fourteen of the greatest painters and writers of the 20th century, including Jean Cocteau, Bernard Buffet and Jean Zioneau, the Prosecutor's Office said Clermont-Ferrand in a statement sent to BFMTV.
