The monasteries of Paphos province celebrated the Assumption of the Virgin Marytranslated

Crowds of believers from every corner of Cyprus came again this year to the holy monasteries of the Pafos district, the Holy Monastery of Panagia Chrysorgioatissa and the Holy Cross Monastery of Agios Neophytos, to celebrate the biggest Theotokos feast of the year, the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the well-known "Easter of the Summer".

In the celebratory Holy Monastery of Panagia Chrysorgioatissa, in the community of Panagia in the district of Pafos, the feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was celebrated with particular splendor.

His Eminence Bishop Arsinois Pagratios, Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Chrysorgioatissa, officiated during the Solemn Vespers and celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the day of the feast, addressing the faithful with a spiritual and consoling speech.

During his address to the faithful, Bishop Arsinois emphasized the need for humility in the spiritual life, noting that "we must humble ourselves in order for our spiritual struggle to have value".

In his statements to journalists, he referred to the special significance of the day, characterizing the Dormition of the Virgin Mary as the "Summer Easter".
