For the preservation and development of spiritual and moral traditions as well as the philanthropic contribution that he has demonstrated for many years, Vladimir Putin awards the Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan, Mr. Alexander. By Decree no. 488 of the President of the Russian Federation B.V. Putin, dated July 13, 2026, the head of the Metropolitan Region of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Republic of Kazakhstan, permanent member of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Alexander, was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland", 2nd degree.
As noted in the document published on the portal of legal acts on the page of the Russian Federation, Metropolitan Alexander was awarded the high state award "for his contribution to the preservation and development of spiritual and moral traditions and his long-term charitable and social activities."
