Holy Vigil at the Sunday of the Skete of Saint Anne on Mount Athos by Kilkisiou Bartholomeustranslated

Following the invitation of the Holy Monastery of the Great Lavra and the relative permission and blessing of the Ecumenical Patriarch, Mr. Bartholomew, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Polyani and Kilkisi, Mr. Bartholomew, went on Thursday, August 6, 2026, to Mount Athos and specifically to the Sunday Mass of the Skete of Agia Anna for the feast of the protomother Agia Anna. This year's celebration of the Dormition of Saint Anne on Mount Athos was held on the evening of Thursday 6 to Friday 7 August 2026 (24 – 25/7 AM), with the overwhelming grandeur of the Agiorite tradition presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Polyanis and Kilkisi Mr. Bartholomew.  The all-night vigil, the participation of the fathers of Skete but also of the surrounding Monasteries and Cells and the uninterrupted prayer created a unique spiritual atmosphere, which reminds us that holiness is the fruit of humility, faith and total dedication to God.
