Dimitriados Ignatios: "Silence is the path to meeting God"translated

At the celebratory Holy Church of Prophet Ilios of Alykon, during the Great Vespers (19/7), Rev. Metropolitan of Dimitrias, Mr. Ignatios, in the presence of the Member of Parliament of Magnesia, Mr. Christos Boukoros, members of the Local Government and a large number of pilgrims. In his speech, His Holiness referred to the timeless message of the Prophet Elias, stressing that: "We live in the age of noise. Everything makes noise. Technology has advanced to an incredible extent, but we are in danger of losing our peace of mind. We need moments of silence, serenity and peace, because only then can man meet God, who reveals himself not in thunder and fire, but in the "aura of the subtle voice".

Continuing Rev. Ignatius, underlined that "Prophet Elias did not give in to the pressures and authority of his time. He trusted God completely and that's why he never despaired. So we too, when we have communion with God, can face every trial as an opportunity for spiritual rebirth and hope."
