The Virgin of Akamas through the watercolor of Aristotle Dimitriostranslated

On the occasion of the great feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, on the fifteenth of August, the painter Aristotelis Dimitriou travels through his art to a small and special chapel of Akamas, Panagia tou Vlos or Panagia tou Tyflo. His work, created with watercolors, is part of the album "Desert chapels and monasteries of Paphos", through which the artist sensitively records the simplicity, peace and memory of the old places of worship.
His post for the Fifteenth of August is not only an artistic reference, but also a small tribute to tradition, faith and the forgotten chapels of the Cypriot land.
"I tried to keep something of the simplicity, the peace and the memory of the place," he notes, sending his wishes for a happy birthday to those who celebrate and for a good fifteenth of August.
