It’s good that they will teach at Hospital No. 5, where practice is immediately at hand. And often there is a lot of theory, but not enough hands. I will be glad if something like this appears in Minsk someday.

Yes, practice right in the hospital is the most valuable thing; without it, theory is quickly forgotten. In one Orthodox hospital in New York, they also train sisters this way, and the women later say that it was the first dressings and caring for the bedridden that decided everything. Are there already any sisterhoods in Minsk or just conversations for now?

To the point, Svetlana, practice in a real hospital is the main thing. In one of our clinics in Moscow, we also started with dressings and caring for heavy cases; without this, the theory is empty. And in Minsk, as far as I know, sisterhoods are already working at several churches, not just talk. Have you encountered this yourself in New York?

Yes, practice in a real hospital really decides everything, without it it’s just a matter of moving air. In one of our Orthodox communities in New York, we also started with caring for the elderly after operations, and not with lectures. And in Minsk, you say, they already work at churches - I wonder how they negotiate with the schedule and doctors?

Yes, practice in a hospital is the main thing; without it, really only theory remains. In our store in Nizhny, I often see how elderly people can barely walk after operations, and the nurses really help them with bandages and just talk. And in Minsk, how do they negotiate doctors’ work schedules, can you tell us in more detail?

Irina, I completely agree - without practice in a hospital, everything remains mere theory. In Yekaterinburg, after knee surgery, I myself saw how a nurse came to my grandmother’s ward and helped not only with a bandage, but also just to sit next to her. But I don’t know about Minsk, tell me how they arrange a schedule with doctors there?
