On Tuesday, Metropolitan Ioan of Banat blessed the Battle Flag of the "Dr. Victor Popescu" Emergency Military Clinical Hospital in Timișoara.

The service was part of the solemn ceremony of awarding the flag, held in the city's Victorie Square.

The demonstration was attended by the Minister of National Defense, Radu-Dinel Miruță, the head of the Medical Directorate within the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Dragoș-Marian Popescu, the Prefect of Timiș County, Paul Finta, county and local officials, the commanders of the structures of the national defense system, public order and national security, as well as numerous Timișoara residents.

Tradition and responsibility The representatives of the "Dr. Victor Popescu" Military Hospital conveyed that the Battle Flag reaches an institution that knows that serving the country also means taking care of people.

"For us, this moment means more than a military ceremony. It means tradition, responsibility and the connection between a hospital and the community it has served for more than two and a half centuries."
