On September 23, the Assembly of Abbots and Abbesses of Monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church was held in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. The assembly was chaired by Metropolitan of Novosibirsk and Berdsk Varnavas.
