"The icon of the Mother of God from Hadâmbu has become a bridge of prayer between Romania and the Republic of Moldova", His Holiness Father Anthony emphasized on Tuesday at the first Holy Liturgy performed after his enthronement as Metropolitan of Bessarabia.

His Eminence officiated the service at the Chirilovca Monastery, Republic of Moldova, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the bringing to the settlement of the copy of the miracle-working icon from the Hadâmbu Monastery.

Metropolitan Antonie showed that contemporary man looks for solutions to the world's problems, but neglects his own inner life: "Contemporary man looks for answers to the great problems of the world, but postpones the meeting with his own conscience. True change begins from within."

"Only a man reconciled with God can become a peacemaker for those around him. The Mother of God always leads us to this encounter with Christ, the only One who can heal the depths of the human heart", highlighted His Eminence.
