Moscow saints will be addressed in prayer at services in the capital's monasteries and churchestranslated

Lists of Moscow saints have been prepared for commemoration during services in monasteries and churches in the capital.
With the blessing of Patriarch Kirill, the Divine Service Commission under the Diocesan Council of Moscow prepared and approved lists of the names of Moscow saints for commemoration in the petitions “Save, O God, Thy people...”, the prayer “Master, most merciful...” and in following the proskomedia after services in monasteries and churches of the capital, the website of the Moscow (city) diocese reports.
The liturgical texts were prepared in pursuance of the decision of the Holy Synod of May 14, 2026, which approved changes and additions to the names of saints listed:
In the petition “Save, O God, Thy people...” offered at the litia of the all-night vigil, as well as at polyeleos and Lenten matins
In the prayer “Master, most merciful...” offered at the litany of the all-night vigil
In proskomedia commemoration
It is specified that the texts of the corresponding sequences “included the names of all Moscow saints, a number of new martyrs in the rank of saints, and expanded the lists of names of saints, noble princes and other ranks in which Moscow saints labored.”
