October 1st is International Music Day: The language that unites faith, culture and generationstranslated

International Music Day is celebrated annually on October 1, as a tribute to an artistic language that manages to unite generations, culture and faith.
Established in 1975 by the International Music Council (IMC), under the auspices of UNESCO, the idea of this celebration belonged to Lord Yehudi Menuhin, the legendary violinist and president of the IMC at that time.
The purpose of the celebration was to convey the message that music can become a tool of universal dialogue for peace and cultural exchange in a fragmented world.
The choice of date coincides with the autumn season in the Northern Hemisphere. The celebration program includes the organization of concerts, workshops, music education programs and community events all over the world.
