It's good that this year the themes are so close to each of us - especially "Around relatives. Me and my family". Maybe I'll try to write something about how my grandmother taught us to plant flowers together and how the whole family would gather around the table afterwards. Who knows, I might even get up the courage to send.

Mariana, I also immediately thought about my grandmother - she taught her grandchildren to water the beds with dill and parsley, and then the whole family sat down at the table with the same herbs. The theme “In the Circle of Relatives” is really close. I’ll try to write a short story about how my husband and I, while he was alive, planted apple trees together at our dacha near Gatchina.

Mariana and Ekaterina, I also immediately have my grandmother in my head - she taught my sister and me to embroider simple crosses on towels, and then the whole family laid these towels under the plates at dinner. The theme “In the circle of relatives” is truly alive. Maybe I’ll get myself together and write a short memoir, although I’ve never been able to write poetry.
