On July 19, 2026, Abbess Alexandra (Zharin) spoke on the topic “The Role of Women in the Church. Holy Wives of White Rus'" at the youth festival "Lukovskoe Brotherhood".

On the day of remembrance of the holy righteous princess Juliana of Olshanskaya, Mother congratulated everyone on the Finding of her relics and urged them to focus on the lives of the holy wives of White Rus'.

Orthodoxy teaches about the absolute equality of people in their relationship to God, salvation and eternal life, regardless of their gender, nationality, or social status. The goal of Christian life in Orthodoxy is deification, that is, the deification of our entire being. All this was revealed by the wives of White Rus', who, in their desire for heavenly things, showed us an example of earthly life limited by conventions.

The death of Saint Juliana followed no later than 1540. How the princess’s life unfolded, what deeds of piety adorned her life, remained unknown to us; but there is no doubt that Saint Juliana worked hard to save her soul, for which the Lord glorified her after death and perpetuated her memory among people as the memory of a saint of God. Glorification of St. Juliania began from the time of the discovery of her relics half a century after her death.

Her life became a source of conversation for the abbess...
