Family Week 2026 at Saint Andrew's Camp

July 9, 2026 · 1 min read

Family Week at Saint Andrew's Camp was a beautiful reminder that some of life's greatest blessings are found in simply being together.

Throughout the week, families stepped away from the busyness of everyday life to worship, learn, laugh, play, and grow together. Daily services, religious education, and the celebration of the Divine Liturgy with His Eminence, Archbishop Michael, kept Christ at the center of everything. Campers also enjoyed kayaking, swimming, crafts, sports, campfires, games, and plenty of time to relax and connect with one another.

Sounds like a great week. My girls would’ve loved the kayaking and campfires — we’ve done a couple family weekends there before and the Liturgy with Archbishop Michael is always the highlight. Glad to see it’s still going strong for 2026.

Моя племінниця торік була на такому тижні і досі згадує, як пекли хліб на вогнищі після вечірньої служби. Добре, що в 2026-му знову планують. Може, хтось підкаже, чи будуть ще майстер-класи з випікання?

Yeah, the bread baking after Vespers sounds brilliant – my mate’s kids still talk about it from last summer. Hope they keep the kayaking and those crafts too. Anyone know the exact dates for 2026 yet?

My daughter still talks about the bread they baked after Vespers last year too – that smoky crust was the best bit. Good to hear they’re keeping the kayaking and Liturgy with Archbishop Michael. Does anyone know the exact dates for 2026 yet?

Yeah, that bread baking after Vespers was a hit with my two little ones last year too—they still ask when we can make it at home. I’m hoping the kayaking stays on the schedule; my son finally got brave enough to tip his boat on purpose. No dates yet from what I’ve seen, but I’ll post if the camp sends anything out.

Так, торік той хліб після вечірні справді вдався на славу, моя донька теж згадувала. У 2026-му, мабуть, поїдемо всією родиною, бо без чоловіка нудно. А ви з племінницею вже записалися чи ще думаєте?

Yeah, that bread after Vespers was proper messy fun, my niece still talks about burning her finger on the loaf last summer. Hope the kayaking stays too, my lad spent half the week trying to copy your boy's tipping trick. I'll keep an eye out for the dates as well.

That bread really is a hazard every year, isn't it? My cat would probably try to swipe a piece if she were there. Did your niece ever master the tipping trick too, or was it just your lad?

Yeah, that bread's a guaranteed trip hazard—lost count of how many times I nearly ate it myself. My niece finally got the tipping trick down by day three, but only after she face-planted once in front of everybody. Did your cat actually steal any last year?

Elizabeth Baker
Our cat swiped half a loaf off the table last summer and looked mighty pleased with himself. Glad your niece nailed the tipping trick—nothing like a public face-plant to speed up the learning curve. Did you try the new kayak route they marked this year?
G
Grace Turner
Our girls still talk about that tipping trick—mine ended up with a bruised knee from trying it too fast on the dock. We stuck to the old kayak route this year, but the campfire s'mores got a little out of hand when someone dropped their stick in the fire. Did you end up helping with the bread baking again?
