Day of Knowledge Celebrated in the Rogachev Deanerytranslated

Clergy of the Rogachev Deanery participated in solemn events marking the beginning of the academic year. In schools and colleges across the Rogachev and Korma districts, they addressed students, educators, and parents with words of encouragement and prayerful wishes.

Priest Alexander Tkachenko, a cleric of the Church of Saint Alexander Nevsky parish in Rogachev, took part in the ceremonial flag-raising events at the Rogachev Gymnasium and the Rogachev Industrial-Pedagogical College. Addressing the students, the priest spoke of the academic labor ahead and wished them patience, inspiration, mutual understanding, and success.

At Dovsk Secondary School named after E.A. Kozlovsky, Protopresbyter Vitaly Levchuk, rector of the Church of the Protection of the Mother of God parish in Dovsk settlement, delivered words of encouragement. To the teachers, he wished joy and inspiration in their work; to parents, he urged them to be a good example and support for their children; and to students, he called for diligence in their studies. The priest also exhorted all participants in the educational process to seek the Lord’s and the Most Holy Theotokos’ assistance.

Good to see Father Alexander Tkachenko and Father Vitaly Levchuk out there speaking directly to the kids and teachers. The bit about parents being a good example and support hit home—mine are still little but that's exactly what we'll need in a few years. Nice that they mentioned turning to the Lord and the Mother of God for help too.

I agree, Father Vitalij Levčuk's speech at the Dovská school intrigued me. Especially when he mentioned that parents should be a good example and support for children - that's exactly what we try at home with our son when he returns from university. Nice that they also mentioned help from the Virgin Mary.
