Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan visited Ecumenical Patriarchate
Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America, visited the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople, where he met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.
According to a post published on social media, the meeting focused on Christian unity, peace, dialogue and the protection of God’s creation. Bishop Parsamyan expressed his respect and gratitude for the Ecumenical Patriarch’s ministry and his continued efforts to build bridges and promote reconciliation.
The meeting also highlighted the enduring friendship and brotherhood shared by the two ancient Churches.
Bishop Parsamyan was accompanied by Fr. Mardiros Chevian, the Very Rev. Fr. Harutyun Damadyan and Fr. Krikor Damadyan.
During their visit, the group paid their respects to the relics of Saint John Chrysostom, Saint Basil the Great and Saint Gregory the Theologian at the historic Patriarchal Church of Saint George.
The visit concluded with prayers for the strength and continued ministry of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, as well as for the deepening of the bonds between the Churches and their common witness to the unity and peace of Jesus Christ.
