Bishop Porfiry took part in the celebrations in honor of the Venerable Martyr Seraphim, Archimandrite of Zhirovichitranslated

On September 6, the 14th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the Venerable Martyr Seraphim, Archimandrite of Zhirovichi, the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky, led the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral of the Zhirovichi Metropolitan Monastery.
The festive service was timed to coincide with the 125th anniversary of the birth and 80th anniversary of the martyrdom of the Venerable Martyr Seraphim, Archimandrite of Zhirovichi.
On the eve of the saint’s feast day, September 5, a diocesan procession of the cross took place from the city of Slonim to the Zhirovichi Monastery, led by the ruling bishop, Archbishop Gury.
The Primate of the Belarusian Orthodox Church at the Divine Liturgy was co-served by Archbishop Gury of Novogrudok and Slonim, Archbishop Anthony of Grodno and Volkovysk, Bishop Porfiry of Lida and Smorgon, Executive Secretary of the Administration of the Belarusian Exarchate Archpriest Andrei Volkov, Secretary of the Novogrudok Diocese Archpriest Dimitry Semukha, the brethren of the Zhirovichi monastery in holy orders, the clergy of the Novogrudok diocese and guests in holy orders.
The diaconal rank was headed by Protodeacon Nikolai Avsievich.
