The church of a Bacău parish was resanctified: Let us be obedient to God, urges PS Teofil Trotușanultranslated

Vicar Bishop Teofil Trotușanul of the Roman and Bacău Archdiocese re-consecrated the Coșnea Parish church in Bacău county on Tuesday, on the day of the dedicated patron Saint Simeon Stâlpnicul. "Let us also be obedient to God," the hierarch exhorted the faithful.
At the community celebration, the reliquary with the honorable head of Saint Simeon of the Wonderful Mountain, preserved for almost six centuries at the Neamț Monastery, was brought.
His Eminence explained the choice of Saint Simeon the Founder as the protector of the church and highlighted the connection between his name and the theme of obedience to God.
"In the life of Saint Simeon we see that he was also listened to by God because his prayers were received, but this happened because first he listened to God's command."
The vicar bishop highlighted the importance of following God as a benchmark of spiritual life: "He calls us and urges us to be obedient to God, to hear His word and call. And if we obey God, God will also listen to us."
