Bring joy to our souls: Bishop Visarion on the Mother of Godtranslated

"It brings joy to our souls, because she received joy at the Annunciation from the Heavenly Father, through the voice of the Archangel," Bishop Visarion of Tulcea explained about the Mother of God on Sunday.

His Eminence officiated the Holy Liturgy at the Celic Monastery in Dere, on the occasion of the dedication of the monastic settlement dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God.

The hierarch spoke about the protection and intercession of the Holy Virgin Mary, showing that the feast of her Assumption is a moment of joy and spiritual elevation: "Truly, the Mother of God is the Mother of the Church and of each one of us."

"It is appropriate to always and always praise the Holy Virgin Mary, as the one who gave birth to the Savior Jesus Christ, and who exhorts us today, as she exhorted the people of Cana Galilei, when the water turned into wine, the first miracle of the Saviour: Do everything my Son tells you."

The celebration of hope For her part, Stavrofora Casiana Mareș, abbess of the Celic Dere Monastery, highlighted the hope that the celebration places in the souls of the faithful.

"Falling asleep is not death, but that by moving the Mother of God with her body to heaven, we also have hope...
