07/09/26 Youth Forum of the Ivanovo Metropolis was held in the village of Timiryazevotranslated
On July 9, in the village of Timiryazevo, Lukhsky district, the Youth Forum of the Ivanovo Metropolis “Enlightenment and Morality: Personality Formation and Challenges of the Time” was held.
Its goal was the self-realization of youth through spirituality, creativity, charity, mercy, patriotism and volunteering. The organizers of the forum, together with the Ivanovo Regional Committee on Youth Policy, were the Ivanovo-Voznesensk, Kineshma, and Shuya dioceses. Preparations for the event were preliminary considered at several meetings chaired by Metropolitan Joseph of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Vichuga and at a meeting of the Bishops' Council of the Ivanovo Metropolis on June 30.
About three hundred young people representing a number of youth organizations in the Ivanovo region took part in the forum.
In the morning, on the day of the feast of the Tikhvin Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos and the remembrance of the discovery of the relics of St. Tikhon of Lukhovsky, Bishop Hilarion of Kineshma and Palekh celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the St. Nicholas Monastery in the village of Timiryazevo.
