On September 3, on the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, at the Center for Social Protection of the Population of Kokhma, the rector of the Annunciation Parish, Hegumen German (Dvortsov), held a conversation on the prevention of terrorism with students from city schools. Children learned about the Beslan tragedy of 2004, modern attempts to involve children and teenagers in terrorist activities. The students were discussed various models of behavior in extreme situations, and they were also given advice on how to possibly counter terrorist threats.

Спасибо, что такие беседы проводят именно с детьми. Хорошо, что игумен Герман рассказал про Беслан и про то, как не попасться на уловки в интернете. Мои мальчишки тоже в школе это проходят, но дома мы всё равно вместе повторяем, что делать, если что-то подозрительное заметишь.

It's a good thing that with the children they are talking about Beslan and about those clever baits on the Internet. Abbot German has apparently prepared something useful, especially for patterns of behavior in danger. My grandchildren are now grown, but even now I remind them not to trust everything that strangers write to them.

I agree, Rositsa, Beslan is something that should not be forgotten. Abbot German did well to point out exactly these patterns of behavior - my 10 year old son also often receives messages from strangers in the game and I tell him to show me right away. How exactly do you remind your grandchildren, do you have a specific example that helps them?

Yes, Beslan really should not be forgotten. At home, we also monitor these messages in the games - I told the kids that if someone texts "come to meet after school", they should not reply at all, but just close the chat and tell me. And you, Nadezhda, have you tried to show them a short video about safety on the Internet, or are you just explaining to them with words?

I agree, Rositsa, Beslan is a lesson that should be repeated every year. Igumen German has done well to show the specific lures on the web as well - last week in the store I heard a mother say that her 12-year-old son almost got caught on a fake Roblox account. How exactly do you remind your grandchildren, do you have any simple rules that you repeat to them?
