1) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to all the saints who are in Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: 2) Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly things in Christ, 4) according to how He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless in His sight in love. 5) He predestined us to adoption as sons to Himself, through Jesus Christ, according to the dispensation of His will, 6) to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He graced us in His beloved Son. 7) In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace, 8) which He abounded in us abundantly in all wisdom and soundness of mind, 9) that He might make known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure, which He [first] purposed in Him, 10) in the dispensation of the fulness of times, that He might restore all things in Him. Christ, all things in heaven and things on earth are in Himself. 11) In whom we also were worthy of being called by lot, predestined according to the plan of Him who works out all things according to the counsel / decision / of His will, 12) that we might be to the praise of His glory, we who first trusted in Christ. 13) In whom also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in whom, you were marked by the Holy Spirit of promise, 14) Who is the earnest of our inheritance, for the redemption of gain, to the praise of His glory. 15) Therefore, having heard about your faith that is in the Lord Jesus, and about your love for all the saints, 16) I do not cease to give thanks for you [to God], making remembrance of you in my prayers, 17) so that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to the knowledge of Him, 18) having the eyes of your heart enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of the calling. Him, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19) and what is especially the excellent greatness of His power in us who believe according to the working of the power of His might, 20) which He wrought in Christ, raising Him from the dead and placing Him at His right hand in the heavens, 21) above all principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named not only this century, but also in the future. 22) And He put all things under His feet, and He gave Him as the Head over all to the Church, 23) which is His Body and the fullness of Him who fills all in all. 1) And you, when you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2) in whom you once lived, according to the age of this world, according to [the will of] the prince of the power of this air, the spirit who is now working in the sons of disobedience, 3) among whom we all were once found according to the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like others; 4) God, who is rich in mercy, for the sake of His great love with which He loved us, 5) made us also alive in Christ (by whose grace you have been saved), 6) and raised us up [with Him], and made us sit together in heaven in Christ Jesus, 7) may He show in the coming ages the exceeding riches of grace His goodness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8) For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God: 9) not by works, so that no one can boast. 10) For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance that we should walk in them. 11) For this reason, remember that you were once heathens in the flesh, who were called “uncircumcision” by those who are called “circumcision” in the flesh, made with hands; 12) For you were at that time without Christ, alienated from the conduct of Israel, and strangers to the covenants, having no hope of the promise, and were godless in the world. 13) Now in Christ Jesus you, who once were far away, have been brought near in the Blood of Christ. 14) For He is our peace, having made both one, and the enmity - the barrier that stood in the middle - having destroyed in His Flesh, 15) having abolished the law of commandments set forth in statutes, in order to create in Himself one new man from the two, making peace, 16) and in one body to reconcile both to God through the cross, having killed the enmity in Himself. 17) And he came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near. 18) Because through Him we, both of us, have access to the Father in one Spirit. 19) So you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20) built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, 21) in whom the whole building, being held together, grows into a holy church in the Lord, 22) in which you also are being built together into the habitation of God in the Spirit. 1) Because of this circumstance, I, Paul, am a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles. 2) If you have heard about the dispensation of the grace of God, given to me for you, 3) because the mystery became known to me through revelation (as I wrote briefly above), 4) then you, reading, can see my understanding of the mystery of Christ, 5) which was not known to other generations of the sons of men, as it is now revealed to His holy Apostles and prophets in the Spirit, 6) [so that] the pagans would fellow-heirs, and fellow-fellows, and partakers of His promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, 7) of which I have become a minister according to the gift of the grace of God, which was given to me according to the working of His power. 8) To me, the least of all saints, this grace has been given - to preach to the pagans the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9) and to enlighten everyone, what is the economy of the mystery that has been hidden from eternity in God, who created everything, 10) so that through the Church the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the principalities and powers in heaven, 11) according to the eternal predestination which He fulfilled in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12) in whom we have confidence and access with confidence through faith in Him. 13) For this reason, I ask you not to lose heart during my sorrows for your sake, which are your glory. 14) Because of this circumstance, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15) from whom all fatherhood in heaven and on earth is named, 16) that He might grant you, according to the riches of His glory, by His [God’s] power to be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man, 17) that Christ might dwell in your hearts by faith, so that you, rooted and established in love, 18) were able to comprehend with all the saints what breadth and length and height and depth are, 19) and to understand the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 20) To him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that is at work in us, 21) To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. 1) Therefore, I, a prisoner in the Lord, beseech you that you will walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2) with all humility and meekness, with patience, supporting one another in love, 3) being careful to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace. 4) There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called to one hope of your calling. 5) One Lord, one faith, one baptism. 6) One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in us all. 7) Each of us has been given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8) For this reason [Scripture] says: “Having ascended on high, he led captivity into captivity and gave gifts to men” (Ps. 67:19). 9) What does “having ascended” mean, if not that He first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10) He who descended is also He who ascended above all the heavens, so that He fills everything. 11) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, others to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be shepherds and teachers, 12) for the perfection of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the building up of the Body of Christ, 13) until we all come into the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, into a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14) So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, by the craftiness of men, by their cunning to be deceived by errors. 15) By creating the truth in love, let us grow in everything into the One who is the head - Christ, 16) from whom the whole body, composed and copulated through all the transmitting joints, with the action of each of the members to [its] measure, creates an increase in the body to build itself up in love. 17) Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord, so that you no longer walk as the pagans do, out of the vanity of their feelings, 18) having a mind darkened by darkness, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, and because of the blindness of their hearts. 19) They, in despair, gave themselves over to debauchery, to the practice of uncleanness, with greed. 20) This is not how you learned Christ; 21) if only you have heard Him and been taught in Him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22) put off your former way of life, the old man, which is corrupted by the thirst for error. 23) Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24) and put on the new man, which according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness. 25) For this reason, having rejected lies, speak the truth every one of you to your neighbor, for we are members of one another. 26) “Be angry and do not sin” (Ps. 4:5): let not the sun go down on your anger. 27) Don't give room to the devil. 28) He who stole, let him not steal, but work harder, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to give to the need of the needy. 29) Let no evil word come out of your mouth, but only if it is good, for edification in the faith, so that it may bring grace to those who hear. 30) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31) Let all bitterness, and anger, and rage, and crying, and blasphemy be put away from you, along with all malice. 32) Be kind to each other, merciful, forgive each other, just as God in Christ forgave you. 1) Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children, 2) and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us as an offering and sacrifice to God, for a sweet aroma. 3) Let not fornication and all uncleanness or greed be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4) or obscenity, or stupid chatter, or buffoonery, which is not relevant, but rather thanksgiving. 5) For know this with the understanding that no fornicator, or unclean person, or covetous person, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6) Let no one deceive you with empty words, for for this reason the wrath of God comes upon the sons of opposition; 7) So, do not become partners with them. 8) For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, 9) for the fruit of light consists of all goodness and righteousness and truth. 10) Test what will be pleasing to God, 11) and do not participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but rather reprove. 12) For what they do in secret is shameful even to speak of. 13) Everything that is revealed is made manifest by the light, for everything that is made manifest is light. 14) For this reason he says: “Arise, O sleeper, and rise from the dead, and Christ will enlighten you” (cf. Isa. 26:19, 40:1, 52:1). 15) See therefore, brethren, how carefully you walk, not as fools, 16) but as wise, making use of the time, because the days are evil. 17) Therefore, do not be unreasonable, but understand what the will of God is. 18) And do not get drunk with wine, in which there is debauchery; but be filled with the Holy Spirit, 19) speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and singing psalms in your hearts to the Lord, 20) always giving thanks for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, God and the Father, 21) submitting to one another in the fear of Christ. 22) Let wives be subject to their husbands, as to the Lord, 23) because the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church; He is the Savior of his body. 24) But just as the Church is subject to Christ, so are wives to their husbands in everything. 25) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her, 26) may he sanctify her, cleansing her by washing in water through the word of life; 27) to present it to Himself as a glorious Church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or anything of that kind, but being holy and blameless. 28) Likewise, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29) For no one ever hated his own flesh; but he nourishes and warms it, just as Christ does the Church, 30) for we are members of His body, “of His flesh and of His bones. 31) For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” (cf. Gen. 2:23–24; Matt. 19:5–6; Mark 10:7–8). 32) This mystery is great; I speak in relation to Christ and the Church. 33) But let each of you individually love his wife as himself; Let the wife fear her husband. 1) Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2) “Honor your father and your mother,” this is the first commandment, which comes with a promise: 3) “may it go well with you, and may you live long on earth” (Ex. 20:12). 4) And you, fathers, do not lead your children to anger, but bring them up in the teaching and admonition of the Lord. 5) Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to Christ, 6) not in the eyes of [only] serving [them], as people-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the soul, 7) serving with good will, as the Lord, and not [as] men, 8) knowing that everyone, if he does anything, good - this he will receive from the Lord, whether he is a slave or a free man. 9) And you, gentlemen, do the same to them, forgiving [your] threats, knowing that your Lord is in their heaven, and with Him there is no respect of persons. 10) Regarding other things, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the might of His might. 11) Put on the whole armor of God, so that you can resist the wiles of the devil, 12) because our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness [that are under] the heavens. 13) For this purpose take on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the fierce day and persevere, perfect in everything. 14) Stand therefore, having your loins girded with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15) and having shod your feet in preparation for the gospel of peace; 16) With all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery arrows of the evil one; 17) And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. 18) Pray with all prayer and supplication at all times in the Spirit, and for this very purpose watch with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints 19) and for me, so that the word may be given to me through the opening of my mouth, with confidence, in order to make known the mystery of the Gospel, 20) for the sake of which I am fulfilling the mission in chains, so that in it I will be bold, as I should speak. 21) And so that you may know what is happening around me, what I am doing, Tychicus, beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will inform you about everything, 22) whom I sent to you for this very purpose, so that you would know what is happening around us, and so that he would comfort your hearts. 23) Peace to the brothers and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24) Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption.
