Thanks for posting this. Nice to see the Gospel read in Chuvash — that must mean a lot to the local families. Congrats to the Khapkovs and Merlushkin on the medals; sounds like they put in real work on that church.

The Chuvash Gospel reading really stands out—good to see the local folks hearing it in their own tongue like that. Congrats to the Khapkov family and Merlushkin on the medals; building and fixing up a church takes years of steady work. I wonder if they’ll have any photos of the new iconostasis up soon.

The Chuvash Gospel reading is a nice touch—my nursing shift buddy from those parts always says it hits different when you hear the words in your own language. Glad the Khapkovs and Merlushkin got recognized; building that church sounds like it took real steady effort from a lot of hands. I wonder if they’ll post any pictures of the new iconostasis.

The Chuvash reading does make a difference, especially in a village like that. My wife’s cousin up near Cheboksary says the same thing about hearing the Gospel in their tongue. I’m curious too about the iconostasis—hope they share some shots of it once it’s finished.

It's good that they also read the Gospel in Chuvash - in such villages it really means a lot to the people. I congratulate Hapkovi and Merlushkin for the medals, they clearly put a lot of work into this church. I wonder if there will be pictures of the iconostasis itself after they finish it.

The Chuvash reading is a nice touch; our youth group kids from the area always light up when they hear the Gospel in their own language. The Khapkovs and Merlushkin really did put in years on that build—I saw the scaffolding out there last summer when I drove through. Any chance you caught the service, or just following the news?

Yeah, the Chuvash readings really stand out—my grandma always said hearing the Gospel in her own tongue made it feel closer to home. The Khapkov family especially has been hauling supplies out there for years; good to see them honored for it. Did you catch any of the service yourself?
