The state institutions and people who supported the organization of the International Meeting of Orthodox Youth 2026 were awarded on Thursday by His Beatitude Father Patriarch Daniel at the Palace of the Patriarchate.
His Beatitude thanked those involved and emphasized the good cooperation between the institutions and the Romanian Orthodox Church.
"We thank those who have helped us and hope for continued cooperation when it comes to organizing useful events full of blessing and joy for the Church and society."
Father Patriarch Daniel expressed his hope that the future meeting of young people organized in Bucharest could be held at the "St. Ilie Thesvitean" Youth Center that will be built in Pantelimon.
"This work, supported by European funds, is very important because young people are not only the future of society and the Church, they are the bright present of now, because, as I said before: in the Church we have young people of different ages".
