The local proclamation of the Holy Pious Martyr Evloghia took place on Sunday at the Samurcășești Monastery in Ilfov. In a message sent at this event, the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel highlighted the saint's mission in the villages of Muntenia.

The Holy Liturgy was officiated by Patriarchal Vicar Bishops Varlaam Ploieșteanul and Paisie Sinaitul, together with Vicar Bishop Timotei Prahoveanul of the Archdiocese of Bucharest.

The service was attended by representatives of the county and local authorities, together with pilgrims who came to honor Saint Pious Evloghia.

The solemn moment of the proclamation included the presentation of the canonization decision of the Holy Synod, the icon, the troparion and the holy relics of Saint Evloghia.

Synodal Tomos The act was read by His Holiness Father Varlaam Ploieșteanul, Patriarchal Vicar Bishop and secretary of the Holy Synod.
