Parishioners of Gomel churches visited the exhibition “Liturgy with the Patriarch”translated

The photo exhibition “Liturgy with the Patriarch”, presented at the Gomel Regional Philharmonic, was visited on August 2 by parishioners of four Gomel churches.
Parishioners of the parishes of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Great Martyr George the Victorious, Iveron Icon of the Mother of God and St. Seraphim of Sarov got acquainted with the exhibition.
The excursions were conducted by the clergy of the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral, Priest John Zayats and Priest Kirill Savich. The clergy spoke about the content of the photographs, the sequence of the service and the meaning of the main parts of the Divine Liturgy.
The exhibition features more than 300 photographs taken over fifteen years during services and other events with the participation of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'.
Eleven sections of the exhibition consistently reveal the course of the Divine Liturgy - from the meeting and vestment of the clergyman to the sermon. Photographs make it possible to examine familiar moments of the service from different angles and trace its internal sequence.
