On August 2, on the day of the Prophet Elijah, Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Elias Church in the village of Ognevskoye. The ruling bishop was co-served by the dean of the Kasli district, the rector of the church, Priest Valery Borisenko, and other clergy. The chants of the service were performed by the Bishop's male choir "Axios". Local residents and believers from the nearest villages, Kasley, Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg, gathered for the patronal feast. The Elias Church, built in 1827, is still being restored. Divine services are held in two side chapels - in honor of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica and the Great Martyr George the Victorious. Metropolitan Alexy congratulated the parishioners on the patronal holiday and noted their attention to the ancient temple, which believers are reviving with love. “Everything in our life is accomplished by the providence and power of God. We can see this very well in the example of this temple. In cities, various circumstances often prevent churches from being restored. And here, in the village, the temple is being restored, because here believers who trust God go to church. But you just have to trust God, and the Lord Himself will manage everything.
