A High Priestly Liturgy was held today, Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of Christ of Korytsas, the preeminent of His Eminence Metropolitan Demetrias and Almyros, Mr. Ignatiou, co-officiating with the local Pastor, His Eminence Metropolitan of Korytsas, Mr. Anastasiou. His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Ignatios was accompanied by thirty-six (36) doctors of the "Health Care Services of Love" of the Holy Metropolis of Dimitrias and Almyros, who, during their three-day stay in Koritsa, performed more than 1,500 free preventive medical examinations, offering valuable services to the residents of the area.

In his sermon, His Eminence expressed his joy and emotion for his presence in Korça, stressing that the visit of the mission takes place in a climate of resurrection joy and fraternal unity.

As he characteristically mentioned, "we are indeed living resurrection moments", as the Church of Albania is a living testimony of the power of the Resurrection of Christ, having been reborn through difficult historical trials.
