During the Sequence of the 4th Greetings to the Blessed Virgin Mary (March 20, 2026) our Most Reverend Metropolitan officiated, according to custom, at the parish church of the Dormition of the Virgin (Catholic) Kremastis. Also officiating: the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Irinoupolis, Mr. Dimitrios (Patriarch of Alexandria) in the Catholic Church of the Holy Monastery of Ypseni, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Tamiatheos, Mr. Germanos (Patriarch of Alexandria) in the Catholic Church of the Holy Monastery of Taxiarch Michael Tharriou, the Most Reverend Bishop of Olympus Mr. Kyrillos at the parish church of Agios Nikolaos Paradisiou and the Theophilus Bishop of Tyana Mr. Fanourios (Assistant to the Reverend Metropolitan of Switzerland Mr. Maximos) at the Cathedral Church of the Annunciation of the Virgin. This year there are probably especially many services in honor of the Mother of God. Here in Kazan, too, I always try to get to the fourth akathist, although sometimes after work I barely have time. It’s interesting how these greetings are sung in Greek monasteries - it probably sounds completely different.
