High-priest memorial service of Gerontissa Chrysovalantitranslated

On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chalkidos Mr. Chrysostomos and the Most Reverend Bishop of Skopelos Mr. Nikodimos were welcomed to the Holy Metochio of the Holy Monastery of St. Georgiou Ilion, in the name of the venerable Irini Chrysovalantou, the Most Reverend Metropolitans of Glyfada, Mr. Antonios and Gortynos, and Mr. Nikiforos of Megalopolis. During Orthros, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Gortynos and Megalopolis, Mr. Nikiforos, officiated and the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Glyfada, Mr. Antonios, presided over the High Priestess, while the Most Reverend Gortynos preached the divine word.

Shortly before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, the four-day memorial service of the Blessed Prioress of Holy Metochius, Gerontissa Chrysovalantis (Moshovacou), was held.
