The day of Romanian agri-food products is celebrated every year on October 10.

The holiday was established by Law no. 168/2017, which encourages the promotion of local foods.

On the occasion of this national day, fairs are organized in several localities in the country, which bring together producers from several regions of Romania.

Visitors can find Romanian agri-food products registered in various national and European quality schemes, such as certified traditional products, mountain products, products with protected geographical indications and ecologically certified products.

In a post on the Facebook page, the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development explained that this holiday is "the day when we honor the authentic Romanian taste, the goodies from our farms and the traditional dishes made according to recipes preserved from generation to generation".

Law for the support of Romanian producers October 10 was officially established as the National Day of Romanian agri-food products in 2017.
