A round table dedicated to the history of the city and Orthodox traditions was held in Tiraspoltranslated

On October 9, with the blessing of Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary, a round table dedicated to the Day of the City of Tiraspol and the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary was held at the contact center of the Union of Russian Communities at the Transnistrian State University named after T. G. Shevchenko. The meeting was attended by the dean of the Central District, rector of the University Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana, Archpriest Sergius Verbitsky; Chairman of the Writers' Union of Transnistria, Advisor to the Ruling Bishop on issues of culture and education N.V. Dymchenko; museum worker and local historian A. A. Melnichuk; poet S.A. Bagnyuk, as well as contact center employees and students. The main topic of discussion was the history of Tiraspol and the importance of Orthodoxy in the life of the city. The meeting participants shared information about the past of Tiraspol, its famous residents and the history of the construction of Orthodox churches, which for many years served as spiritual centers for local residents.
Turning to the history of the Pridnestrovian capital became an occasion to remember the role of Orthodox traditions in the formation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of the city.
