Kizlyar celebrated the 291st anniversary of the founding of the citytranslated

On October 3, 2026, the 291st anniversary of the founding of the city was solemnly celebrated in Kizlyar.

Representatives of the leadership of Dagestan, delegations from the sister city of Budennovsk, Kizlyarsky and Babayurtsky districts of the Republic of Dagestan, the Chechen Republic, residents and guests of Kizlyar took part in the celebrations.

The anniversary celebration began with a solemn meeting in the central square of the city.

Words of congratulations were addressed to the residents of Kizlyar by the head of the urban district "city of Kizlyar" Ivan Lazurkov, deputy of the People's Assembly of the Republic of Dagestan of the eighth convocation Anna Bezrukova, honorary citizen of the city of Kizlyar Vyacheslav Palamarchuk, head of the Department of National Policy and Information Support of the Ministry of National Policy and Religious Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan Magomed Daitbegov, head of the Budennovsky municipal district of the sister city Dmitry Bogdanov.

Archbishop Varlaam’s greeting to the leadership and residents of the city was announced by the secretary of the Makhachkala diocese, rector of the Cathedral of St. George the Victorious in Kizlyar, dean of the Kizlyar church district, Priest Pavel Kalikin.
