A diocesan youth volleyball tournament was held at the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminarytranslated

On October 18, 2026, in the new sports hall of the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminary, a volleyball match took place, uniting youth teams of several churches of the Ural capital and seminary students.
Three teams competed for victory in the tournament: the “Churches” national team, representing the parishes of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Chapel of St. Catherine, the team of the Yekaterinburg Theological Seminary “EDS”, as well as the team of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord “Orthodox Delivery”.
“I was glad that the idea of holding the tournament came from youth associations. Despite the competitive nature of the event, there was a sense of unity and respect for the opponent. I hope that we will continue to develop such initiatives: they remind us of the importance of caring not only for the soul, but also for the body,” emphasized the importance of such initiatives, the head of the youth department of the Yekaterinburg diocese, Priest Seraphim Kadura.
Following a tense struggle, the team from the Ural Theological School took first place. Silver went to the Church team.
– Despite the quick advantage of the “seminarists”, the spirit of victory and excitement in the game was present in the hall until the last seconds! All matches were bright and with youthful enthusiasm. Looking forward...
